The flooring has been installed, the screen system is in place, and the translucent roof panels are allowing natural light in while providing protection from the elements. The result is a bright, comfortable space that extends the home’s living area and creates a stronger connection to the outdoors. We still have a few finishing details ahead, including the stair railings, but we’re excited to share this progress and look forward to seeing the completed space soon! The goal of this bedroom reno was to reduce the sound transfer between rooms. With the project now complete, Greg put it to the test while our nephew played saxophone on the other side of the wall. There’s a lot that goes into making a room quieter: insulation, sealing gaps, wall assembly, and attention to the small details during construction. It’s not something you necessarily see when a project is finished, but you definitely notice it when you live in the space.
